The Hopkins baseball team scored six runs in the sixth inning to break open a close game as the Royals shut out Wayzata 8-0.
Gabe Olson hit a two-run homer and Brock Zimmer a grand slam in the Hopkins big inning.
Marcus Champagne threw a complete game three-hitter for the Royals, striking out seven.
Hopkins improves its season’s record to 12-3 and have now won seven games in a row.
Wayzata falls to 4-9 with their third straight loss.
