The Heritage Christian Academy baseball team saved its best for last, beating Sleepy Eye 8-0 in the Class A championship.

The teams waited out a four-hour rain delay before the game started.

Heritage pitcher Seth Halvorsen delivered one of the best performances in state finals history.

Halvorsen hit two home runs and drove in four runs while also scoring four times.

As a pitcher, Halvorsen pitched a complete game shutout with 16 strikeouts.

Taylor Brodersen was 2-for-4 with three runs batted in.
