Heritage Christian Academy Girls Basketball Shoots for State
The Heritage Christian Academy girls basketball team is shooting for a state tournament berth this week.
The Eagles are 19-5 and the top seed in the section 4A tournament.
They beat Avail Academy 54-26 in the section quarterfinals Saturday.
The Eagles host PACT Charter in the semifinals Tuesday night; the winner advances to Friday’s section final.
Heritage has an interesting mix of players on its roster.
They are led by seniors Kaitlan Jones and Abby Inmon, but the rest of the team is mostly freshmen, with a seventh grader, too.
Heritage Christian made three consecutive state tournament appearances from 2018-2020, and they’d like to do it with a new group.
