Heidi Raasch inducted into Cooper Hall of Fame
Heidi Raasch is the newest inductee in to the Cooper High School Hall of Fame. Raasch was a record-holding swimmer for the Hawks, graduating in 1982. She still holds the school record for fastest time in both the 50 and 100 yard freestyle races. Raasch swam in college at Louisiana State University. Back in Minnesota after graduating from LSU, Heidi stayed involved in the sport coaching youth swimming. She passed away in 2005 after battling cancer, dying at the age of 42. Family and friends will accept the Hall of Fame induction on her behalf this Saturday at 2:00 pm at Cooper. The public is invited to attend.
