Greenway Scores 47; Providence Academy Girls Basketball Wins Again
Freshman guard Maddyn Greenway scored 47 points to lead the Providence Academy girls’ basketball team to a 78-40 win over Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial in the quarterfinals of the Class AA state tournament.
Greenway scored 24 points in the first half and 23 in the second half and made eight three-pointers as the Lions won their 27th straight game. Grace Counts added 12 points for Providence.
The Lions (28-2) face IMAC Conference opponent Minnehaha Academy in the semifinals Friday at 6:00 pm at Williams Arena.
The Lions beat the RedHawks twice during the regular season.
