Golden Valley Girls Softball Hopes to Play Ball
The popular Golden Valley Girls Softball League is hoping to play ball this year.
As with all sports leagues, the COVID-19 pandemic is having a big impact on plans.
The slow pitch GVGS league has been a fixture in Golden Valley since the 1970’s.
League president Lenny Segal chatted with Jay Wilcox of CCX Sports about possible timelines.
As of now, the league is hoping to have tryouts in mid-May and start playing in early June.
Segal admits that could very well change depending on further stay at home orders, etc.
But plans are ongoing in case GVGS teams can take the field for a shortened season.
