Fusion U16 Girls Soccer Heads to Nationals
The Plymouth-based Fusion 16 and under girls’ soccer team got off to a slow start when their season began last winter.
In fact, the team won just two matches (and tied two others) in league play.
But the Fusion saved their best for last, winning three tournaments since March including the Minnesota Cup and the Midwest Regional last month. That qualified them for this week’s national tournament in Colorado.
The team’s head coach, Tyler Seidel, said the team has been a great source of joy and support to him in the past four months since his father Thomas passed away on March 17th.
The girls say they will try to win this tournament for Tyler, who will be away from the team attending a Celebration of Life ceremony for his father this week.
