Former Cooper Star Max Murphy With Saints
Former Cooper baseball star Max Murphy is back in the Twin Cities this summer, playing for the St. Paul Saints.
Murphy, a Robbinsdale native who also starred at Bradley, was in the Twins organization until being released.
Outfielder Murphy is hitting .293 with 24 runs scored and 16 runs batted in for the Saints.
Like most of the Saints, he hopes to return to an MLB organization, but says a summer in St. Paul is the next best thing.
