Eight Goal Second Quarter Leads Benilde-St. Margaret’s Boys Lacrosse Past Centennial
In the opening round of the MSHSL boys lacrosse state tournament, the Benilde-St. Margaret’s boys lacrosse team blitzed Centennial with eight goals scored in the second quarter to earn a 16-7 win over the Cougars.
Hunter Payer led the way with six points and scored three of the Red Knights’ first four goals, securing a hat trick just a minute into the second quarter.
Dylan Parker, Gus Bell, and Sky Rold also each scored three goals for BSM.
The Red Knights advance to the state semifinals. They’ll face Eden Prairie on Thursday at Chaska High School.
