Derrin Lamker Named Wayzata Head Football Coach
Derrin Lamker has been named the head football coach at Wayzata High School, a job he says was too good to pass up.
Lamker returned to the high school ranks as Osseo’s head coach this fall after six seasons as head coach at Augsburg University.
Lamker coached Osseo for 11 seasons in a previous stint, going 74-39 and winning a state title in 2015.
After a time as an assistant and then head coach at Edina, he took over at his alma mater Augsburg before leaving for Osseo this past summer.
Lamker succeeds Lambert Brown, who won a state title with Wayzata in 2019 but had a 1-8 campaign this fall.
