Cooper Unveils Renovated Weight Room
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Tuesday to mark the opening of a newly renovated weight room at Cooper High School.
The project was sparked by Hawks head football coach and assistant principal Willie Howard.
Grants from the Polaris Foundation and Thielen Foundation provided the financial means for the upgrade.
New state of the art weight and training equipment, along with an area of artificial turf, will now be available for Cooper students and athletes.
The hope is when the pandemic subsides that Cooper staff will get a lot of use of the facility in the morning.
Phy-ed classes, athletic teams, and even community members will be able to benefit from the new room.
