Cooper Grad Casey Maikkula Takes Over as Head Coach for Armstrong/Cooper Boys Hockey
After sixteen seasons as an assistant coach at five different schools, former Cooper boys hockey player Casey Maikkula is taking over as the head coach for Armstrong/Cooper boys hockey.
Maikkula is just eight days into summer workouts, but likes what he sees from the Wings so far.
Danny Charleston was the head coach for A/C the last eleven years, but was let go and will now be the head assistant at Benilde-St. Margaret’s.
Maikkula is hoping to implement a fast-paced offense and an opportunistic defense as head coach of the Wings.
