Cooper Girls Basketball Wins Big vs. South
The Cooper girls basketball team took a 49-20 lead into halftime on the way to a 77-52 win over Minneapolis South Friday.
Andrea Tribble scored 24 points, Mimi Wheeler 22 and Josephine Igherighe 14 to pace the Hawks.
South was led in scoring by Jade Hill who netted 35 points.
The Tigers led the game 4-0 but then the Hawks scored the next nine and would never trail again.
Cooper (5-0) is home to play Bloomington Jefferson and Bloomington Kennedy in Metro West Conference games this week.
