Cooper Girls Basketball Takes Down Columbia Heights
The Cooper girls basketball team earned their second win of the season with a 58-55 victory over Columbia Heights.
The Hawks got down 10-0 to start the game, but dug themselves out of a hole and took a 33-28 lead at the half.
Cooper extended the lead in the second half, but the Hylanders rallied to pull within three points with under ten seconds to play.
Columbia Heights got a potential game-tying three-point shot off with five seconds to play, but the shot was off the mark and the Hawks held on for the win.
Zoey Smith racked up 19 points on the night for Cooper. A’Naijah Scarver (15) and Mariana Heggestad (11) also posted double figures.
