Cooper Girls Basketball Rolling into Big Matchup with Chaska
The Cooper girls basketball team is excelling with a mix of veterans and young talent this season.
The Hawks feature three senior captains who were part of Cooper’s back-to-back trips to the state tournament in 2018 and 2019.
Post player Kierra (Meme) Wheeler and guards Andrea Tribble and Jayla Reliford set the tone for a program with some good up and coming players.
Cooper is 7-0 entering a matchup Tuesday night with another undefeated team, Chaska.
The game is a key contest in deciding the Metro West Conference championship.
Cooper started the season with four straight road games, but are in a stretch with seven of eight games at home.
The lone exception in that run is Tuesday’s game at Chaska.
