Cooper Football Team Beats Minneapolis Southwest
The Cooper football team beat Minneapolis Southwest 21-13 in the Section 5AAAAA semifinals Saturday.
The Hawks built a 21-0 lead in the first half, then withstood a rally by the Lakers.
Sherrod Russell rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns for Cooper.
Corenlius Wooten had four recepetions for 91 yards and a touchdown.
The Hawks play at Spring Lake Park in a rematch of last year’s section final Friday.
