Cooper Football Shuts Out Jefferson to Improve to 5-1
The Cooper football team continued a solid 2024 season with a 19-0 shutout win over Bloomington Jefferson Friday.
Cooper led 6-0 at halftime of a defensive battle on a 32-yard touchdown pass by receiver Dalon Gurley on a reverse to Christian Lloyd.
Cooper added touchdown runs in the fourth quarter by Randy Smythe and Emmanuel Karmo and the defense did the rest, registering four sacks on the way to the win.
Cooper improves to 5-1 with the win.
The Hawks play at Tartan Thursday.
