Cooper Football Shuts Out Benilde in Regular Season Finale
The Cooper football team closed out the regular season by shutting out Benilde-St. Margaret’s 41-0 Wednesday.
Camden Royal rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns, including a 68-yard burst early in the second quarter.
David Connors caught two touchdown passes on offense and also returned an interception for a score.
Donte Williams also had an interception return for a TD in a dominant performance on both sides of the ball for the Hawks.
Cooper finished the regular season 6-2 and earned the number one seed for the Section 5AAAAA playoffs. They have a bye into the semifinals October 30th.
