Cooper Football Set for Last Game
The Cooper football team is set for the last game of the COVID-19 shortened season.
Like other teams, the Hawks found out Wednesday that the season would end Friday with an announcement from Governor Walz.
So their playoff game scheduled for Saturday against Minneapolis Southwest in the Section 5AAAAA tournament was moved up a day.
A young Hawks squad had a 3-3 record in the regular season, with three close losses against solid Orono, Holy Angels and Benilde teams.
While it hasn’t been an ideal season with the late start and early finish due to the pandemic, Cooper is hoping to end on a good note.
You can see the Cooper-Southwest game live on CCX on Comcast channels 799/12 in the northwest suburbs or on www.ccxmedia.org.
