Cooper Boys Soccer Loses to Richfield
The Cooper boys’ soccer team lost to one of the top teams in the Tri-Metro Conference Tuesday, falling 5-1 to Richfield.
Hawks’ senior Daniel Romero Andrade opening the scoring with a goal less than three minutes into the match.
But the Spartans closed the first half with three straight goals- all scored by Xavier Klun who now has 21 goals on the season.
Richfield (6-3-2 overall, 4-1 Tri-Metro) scored the only two goals of the second half to close out the scoring as the Spartans try to keep pace with conference leader Holy Angels.
The Hawks are now 2-8 on the season.
