Cooper Boys Basketball Team Holds off BSM
The Cooper boys basketball team held off an upset bid to beat Benilde-St. Margaret’s 62-56.
It’s the second win of the season over the Red Knights for Cooper.
Cooper had a seven point lead at halftime.
They pushed the lead into double figures in the second half before Benilde battled back.
The Red Knights kept it close but never caught up in the second half.
Broderick Powell, Jr. scored 17 points to lead Cooper.
Nick Peterson had 27 in the loss for BSM.
Cooper is tied for first place in the Metro West Conference with Chaska.
