Cooper Boys Basketball Pulls Away to Beat Brooklyn Center
The Cooper boys basketball team overcame a slow start to pull away from Brooklyn Center in a 59-37 win Tuesday.
Brooklyn Center jumped out to an 8-0 lead to start the game and maintained a lead for much of the first half.
Cooper rallied to lead 26-20 at the halftime break.
The Hawks’ press forced a number of turnovers early in the second half as Cooper’s lead quickly grew to double figures.
Lamarion Edward had 18 points and Desmond Goines 15 to lead Cooper.
Key’Shon Alexander had 16 points to lead Brooklyn Center.
It’s Cooper’s seventh win of the season and second over Brooklyn Center.
