Champlin Park’s Athena Award Winner: Heather Johnson
The 48th annual Athena Awards luncheon was scheduled to take place on May 8th.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony was canceled.
We at CCX Sports are recognizing these remarkable seniors from the class of 2020 and telling their stories.
Today we recognize Heather Johnson from Champlin Park High School.
Among her accomplishments as a swimmer:
—4-time state entrant
—Hold four school records
–Section 5AA champion in the 50 freestyle as a sophomore
–Academic all-state pick
Beyond sports, Heather was an AP scholar and played in the symphonic band.
