Champlin Park Softball Swings for Big Season
With all but two starters returning from a 16-win team, the Champlin Park softball team is aiming for big things this season. The Rebels are hoping to break through and reach the state tournament for the first time in program history.
An athletic group with plenty of experience and good young talent should make this a team to watch this spring.
Outfielders Ava Parent, Hannah Husom, and Erin Kaluza, all juniors, are back.
Senior catcher/infielder Madison Hasselbring, junior third baseman Reese Reimler, junior shortstop Amanda Kotsmith, freshman catcher Chloe Postma, and freshman pitcher/infielder Ava Abrahamson are also players to watch.
Sophomore pitcher Marissa Rothenberger is coming on.
The Rebels were scheduled to have their first two games this week but they have been postponed.
