Champlin Park Gymnastics Edges Maple Grove
Champlin Park edged Maple Grove 139.300- 138.075 in a Northwest Suburban Conference gymnastics meet Thursday. It was a match-up of two of the top teams in the conference.
Maple Grove’s Sasha Thompson won the vault, beam, floor exercise and the all-around title with a score of 36.775. The Crimson’s Abby Palmer won the uneven bars.
Champlin Park’s Katie Johnson finished second in the all-around with a score of 36.625.
The Rebels host Anoka in their final home meet of the season March 12th.
The Crimson have two regular season meets remaining— Coon Rapids on the 10th and Park Center on the 12th.
Both teams will compete in the Section 5AA meet March 18th at Champlin Park High School.
