Champlin Park Girls Lacrosse Falls to Edina in State Opener
The Champlin Park girls lacrosse team lost 13-5 to Edina in the state quarterfinals Tuesday at White Bear Lake High School.
The Hornets scored the first three goals of the game to set the tone, and built a 6-2 halftime lead.
They removed any doubt by scoring the first five goals of the second half on the way to the win.
Champlin Park, in the state tournament for the first time since 2015, moves into the consolation bracket. They meet East Ridge Thursday morning at 11:00 at Stillwater High School.
First time tournament entrant Edina meets Stillwater in the semifinals Thursday.
