Champlin Park Girls Basketball Tops Armstrong
The Champlin Park girls basketball team converted Armstrong turnovers into points Tuesday in the Rebels’ 64-44 win over the Falcons.
The Rebels’ tough defense led to several steals and fast-break points. Champlin Park also limited Armstrong’s Savannah McGowan, the Falcons’ top scorer, to just two points.
The Rebels led 21-10 in the first half before Armstrong pulled to within a point at 25-24. Champlin Park then closed the half on a 13-1 scoring run.
Mikaelah Counce scored 16 points for the Rebels (3-3) while Maya Fitzpatrick added 13.
Karlee Fisher netted 21 points to lead the Falcons (1-4) in scoring.
