Champlin Park/Coon Rapids Girls Hockey Skates Past Armstrong-Cooper
The Champlin Park/Coon Rapids girls hockey team scored four goals in just over four minutes in the second period on the way to a 9-2 win over Armstrong/Cooper.
Champlin Park/Coon Rapids netted the only two goals of the first period to lead 2-0.
A shorthanded goal by Paige Loidolt and a penalty shot goal by Lydia College pulled Armstrong/Cooper into a 2-2 tie.
That’s when CP/CR took off. Abby Ness scored her second goal of the game on a rebound to make it 3-2.
Kyla Keding scored two straight deflection goals for the Bluebirds to make it 5-2, with Brylei DelCastillo adding a goal for a 6-2 lead.
Those four goals came in a span of 4:05 in the second period.
Champlin Park/Coon Rapids added three more in the third period, two by Molly Terebayza, to win 9-2.
