Champlin Park/Coon Rapids Girls Hockey Edges Rogers 2-1
June Semling scored the game-winning goal five minutes into the third period to lift the Champlin Park/Coon Rapids girls hockey team to a 2-1 win over Rogers.
Caitlin Easton opened the scoring for the Bluebirds in the first period. Claire Lauer answered with a goal in the second period to tie the game at one.
Rogers goalie Claire Kinneberg kept the Royals close, making 39 saves.
Champlin Park/Coon Rapids (14-7-1) hosts Wayzata on Saturday. Rogers is now 4-17-0.
