Champlin Park-Coon Rapids Girls Hockey Beats Armstrong-Cooper
The Champlin Park-Coon Rapids girls hockey team overcame a hot goalie to beat Armstrong-Cooper 3-0.
Lindsay Batz of Armstrong-Cooper stopped 32 of 33 shots in the first two periods to keep it 1-0.
Batz made 55 saves in all in a standout performance.
CPCR finally broke the deadlock midway through the second period as Kylie Scott set up Abby Ness with a great pass.
Scott and Delaney Johnson added goals in the third period for Champlin Park-Coon Rapids.
They improved to 3-5 with the win; Armstrong-Cooper dropped to 0-7-1.
