Champlin Park Boys Hockey Team Surging
The Champlin Park boys hockey team is striving for consistency in the second half of the season.
The Rebels have a young team that has had some ups and downs but they seem to be hitting their stride.
Champlin Park is 9-5, and they have won six of their past eight games.
Tom Potter is in his first season as sole head coach after being co-coach with Pat Janostin last season.
The Champlin Park grad has been coaching in the program for a decade.
Never known as a hockey power, Potter wants to change the mentality in the program and compete with the top teams in Section 5AA.
Winning at least one playoff game is a goal for the Rebels, but there is plenty of work ahead.
