Champlin Park Baseball Gears up for Season
The start of the season feels a little more real now for the Champlin Park baseball team.
The Rebels had their first outdoor practice session of the spring Monday on an artificial turf field that is marked for football, soccer and lacrosse.
Champlin Park returns a good group from a team that was 9-16 overall last season but placed third in Section 5AAAA.
Captains Andrew Rakow (P/1B), Justin Brooks (2B/SS) and Zach Zahalka (C) are among the leaders for the Rebels.
The Rebels have already had their first six games rescheduled.
As of now they are scheduled to open the season this coming Monday April 17 at Anoka.
