Champlin Park Baseball Beats Totino-Grace 4-2
The Champlin Park baseball team scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning on the way to a 4-2 win over Totino-Grace.
Sam Berg’s two-out, two-run triple was the key hit in the fourth as the Rebels broke a 1-1 tie.
Tanner Thompson followed Berg’s hit with an RBI single to make it 4-1.
Champlin Park starter Myer Schmitz overcame a rocky first inning on the wet afternoon to pitch a gem.
Schmitz pitched a complete game, allowing four hits and striking out eight.
The Rebels improved to 5-1 with the win, while Totino-Grace is 2-3.
