Champlin Park Baseball Beats Osseo
Champlin Park pitcher Tyler Phenow threw a one-hitter and struck out 15 batters as the Rebels’ baseball team beat Osseo 8-2 Tuesday night.
Phenow allowed unearned runs in the third and seventh innings and gave up only an infield single in the seventh.
The Rebels scored six runs in the third to take the lead, highlighted by an Andrew Rakow two-run single.
They added two more runs in the sixth on Kellan Oligmueller’s two-run triple.
Champlin Park is now 5-2 overall and 5-1 in the Northwest Suburban Conference and battling Elk River and Centennial for the conference lead.
Osseo, which had won three straight games, drops to 4-4 overall and 3-3 in conference games.
