Champlin Park American Legion Baseball Rolls Past Becker in Sub-State Opener
The Champlin Park American Legion baseball team scored three runs in the first, third and fourth innings on the way to a 9-0 win over Becker in the first round of the Sub-State 8 tournament Tuesday morning.
Catcher Ty McGee blasted a three-run homer in the third and added an RBI single in the fourth for the Rebels.
Chase Oxborough pitched six scoreless innings for Champlin Park, allowing one hit.
The Rebels play a winner’s bracket game Wednesday morning in the tournament.
