Champlin Park Falls to Farmington 2-1 in Second Game of American Legion Baseball State Tournament
In their second pool play game of the American Legion Baseball State Tournament, Champlin Park lost to Farmington in a low-scoring defensive battle, 2-1.
Nick Carlson pitched well for Champlin Park early on, holding Farmington scoreless in the first two innings of the game.
Farmington got on the board in the third with two runs.
Javon Hunter had a no-hitter intact until the seventh inning when Aaron Coan delivered a base hit to centerfield that scored Evan Nordby, but Coan was thrown out at second to end the game.
Champlin Park will play Osseo on Friday night to conclude pool play.
