Our CCX Sports Spotlight this week shines on Armstrong girls basketball standout Savannah McGowan.
Jay Wilcox profiles the Falcons’ senior, who is in her sixth varsity season.
McGowan, a 6’3 post player, is believed to be the first Armstrong girl to reach 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in her career.
She will play for Illinois State on a basketball scholarship next season.
She plans to study education and hopes to be a teacher one day.
