In this week’s CCX Sports Spotlight, John Jacobson profiles Wayzata baseball player Riley Leatherman.
The junior right-handed pitcher was 5-1 this season with an earned run average of under 2.00 while averaging better than a strikeout per inning.
Leatherman has verbally committed to playing college baseball at the University of North Carolina.
Wayzata was ranked first in Class AAAA for most of this season before getting upset by Edina in the Section 6 final.
