CCX Sports Spotlight: Maple Grove Baseball Pitching Staff
In this week’s CCX Sports Spotlight segment John Jacobson profiles the Maple Grove baseball team’s outstanding pitching staff.
The Crimson, in their first 22 games, have allowed less than two earned runs per game. In all 13 players have pitched on the varsity team this spring, led by seniors Aiden Hansen and Ethan Zimmerman who have combined for nine wins.
Hansen will pitch in the Play Ball Minnesota All-Star Series later this month.
Maple Grove (18-4) is the top seed in the Section 5AAAA tournament and will play for the section title Wednesday at 6:00 pm at Osseo High School.
