CCX Sports Spotlight: Grace and Maria Counts
In this week’s CCX Sports Spotlight segment Jason Melillo profiles Providence Academy girls basketball players Grace and Maria Counts.
The sisters are two big reasons why the Lions are again one of the top teams in Class 2A as they shoot for a second straight state tournament berth.
Both girls average in double figures in both scoring and rebounding for the 18-1 Lions.
Their grandfather Mel Counts played 12 seasons in the NBA in the 1960s and 70s and won two NBA titles.
