CCX Sports Spotlight: Charlie Goergen, Armstrong-Cooper Boys Hockey
In this week’s CCX Sports Spotlight, Chaz Mootz profiles Armstrong-Cooper boys hockey senior forward Charlie Goergen.
A captain for the Wings, Goergen was diagnosed with hodgkin’s lymphoma midway through his junior season last year.
Despite going through tough chemotherapy treatments, Goergen was determined to continue to play hockey and finish the season with his team. Now in his senior year at Armstrong, Goergen is in remission after beating his cancer last May and is helping lead the A/C boys hockey team.
