CCX Sports Spotlight: Breck Boys Soccer
Our CCX Sports Spotlight this week shines on the Breck boys soccer team.
The Mustangs entered the postseason with a 10-0-1 record and ranked number one in Class A.
A very talented and experienced group has mostly played together for a long time and formed a great bond.
The Mustangs are an unselfish team, with everyone filling a role.
Captains Lucas LeWin-Mills, Nikolai Ganev, and Walsh Kern along with head coach George Stuempfig shared their thoughts on the season.
Due to COVID-19, there won’t be a state tournament this fall, and so the Mustangs won’t get to prove they’re the best in Class A.
They’ll settle for trying for the Section 5A title.
Breck beat Totino-Grace in the quarterfinals and will meet DeLaSalle in the semifinals.
That game is scheduled for Tuesday, weather permitting.
