CCX Sports Spotlight: Beau Courneya, Breck Football
Our CCX Sports Spotlight this week shines on Breck football/hockey player Beau Courneya.
Hockey is his main sport, but though he came late to football Courneya is having a big impact.
He leads a balanced Mustangs rushing attack with 375 yards, averaging eight yards per carry with eight touchdowns.
He also has forced two fumbles and had an interception return for a touchdown on defense.
Breck finished the shortened regular season with a 5-1 record.
They face St. Croix Lutheran in the Section 4AAA playoff semifinals Saturday.
CCX Sports Spotlight: Beau Courneya, Breck Football Hockey is his main sport but Breck senior Beau Courneya is excelling on the football field, too. The running back/defensive back leads the Mustangs in rushing and helped the team to a 5-1 regular season record. Breck opens the section football playoffs Tuesday night at home against Lake City.
