Cameranesi, Pannek and U.S. Women’s National Hockey Team Begins Training
Plymouth natives Dani Cameranesi and Kelly Pannek and their Team USA women’s hockey teammates began training this week for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
Cameranesi and Pannek were on the 2018 USA team that won gold in PyeongChang, South Korea.
The Super Rink at the National Sports Center in Blaine is home base for the team.
The team will practice and play exhibition games over the next four months until the Olympics begin February 4, 2022.
Cameranesi graduated from Blake School and Pannek from Benilde-St. Margaret’s. Grace Zumwinkle, who graduated from Breck, is also on the 28-player roster.
Only 23 of the 28 will travel to Beijing for the Games.
The team’s final exhibition game is scheduled for December 20th at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul against Team Canada.
