Cameranesi, Pannek and Team USA Women’s Hockey Team Gets Special Sendoff
Plymouth natives Dani Cameranesi and Kelly Pannek and their team USA women’s hockey teammates got a special sendoff Monday.
The team boarded a bus in Blaine to begin the journey to Beijing for the Winter Olympics.
The team has trained at the National Sports Center Super Rink complex to prepare for the games.
It’s the second straight Olympic appearance for Pannek and Cameranesi.
Both starred for the University of Minnesota.
Pannek played high school hockey for Benilde-St. Margaret’s and grew up playing in the Armstrong-Cooper youth hockey association.
Cameranesi played for Blake and played youth hockey in the Wayzata association.
