Brooklyn Center Football Wins Home Opener Under New Lights
The Brooklyn Center football team enjoyed a big night Friday in a few ways.
For the first time in three years they played a game under the lights.
New lights with help from Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen’s foundation shined on Jim Norwick Field.
Thielen spoke to the Centaurs’ team before their home opener against Minneapolis Patrick Henry.
The game itself was a success for Brooklyn Center, too.
The Centaurs beat Henry 38-20 to even their record at 1-1.
Warren Kinney had a big night that included an 83-yard touchdown run and a couple of other scores.
