Breck Girls Soccer Rallies for State Tournament Win
The Breck girls soccer team scored twice in the second half to rally past St. Anthony 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the state Class A tournament.
Playing under windy, rainy conditions at neutral site Waconia High School, the Mustangs received goals from Katie Theissen and Georgia LeWin-Mills in the second half to secure the win.
Eileen Cardona scored the lone St. Anthony goal in the first half.
Breck goalie Eva Breiland recorded 12 saves in the win.
Breck (9-4-4) is playing in its first ever state tournament and now meets top-seeded Holy Family November 4th at 5:00 pm at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
