Breck Girls Hockey Wins State Tournament Opener
The Breck girls hockey team rolled to an 8-2 win over St. Cloud in the state class A quarterfinals Wednesday at Grand Casino Arena.
The Mustangs led 2-0 after the first period and 5-1 after two.
Taylor Hall had three goals and an assist to lead Breck’s attack.
Breck had a 58-9 edge in shots on goal.
The Mustangs, the number two seed for the tournament behind Warroad, take on archrival Blake in the semifinals Friday.
