Breck Girls Hockey Headed Back to State Tournament
The Breck girls hockey team is headed back to the state Class A tournament.
The Mustangs beat Orono 6-2 in the Section 5A title game.
Breck put 17 shots on goal in the first period but the game was scoreless through one.
After Orono scored first in the second period, the Mustangs erupted for five goals in the period.
Sadie Lindsay scored two goals, while Ashley Halverson had four assists for Breck.
Breck is the two-time defending state champion and will most likely be the top seed for this year’s state tournament.
