Breck Girls Hockey Falls to Hill-Murray
In a matchup of two of the state’s top girls hockey teams, the Breck Mustangs fell to Hill-Murray 6-3 Thursday.
Each team scored a goal in the first period, and the visiting Pioneers carried a 3-2 lead after two periods.
Malia Couser tied the game 3-3 early in the third period for Breck.
Hill-Murray closed strong, netting three goals in just over three minutes in the middle of the period to pull away.
Breck is ranked fifth in class A. Hill-Murray is rated third in class AA.
Kennedy Morris had two goals and two assists to lead the Pioneers.
